Honda is calling the S660 a concept, but when company president Takanobu Ito took to the stage at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, one of the first things he did was confirm this exciting new small sports car – the spiritual successor to the Honda Beat – will be going into production in 2015. This is great news for Honda, and Ito-san acknowledged a next-generation small sports car has been long awaited by Honda fans, who’ve had little excitement to cheer about since the last Civic Type R and the S2000 roadster were stripped from the model line up. I know, you probably already know that McLaren are going to give the MP4-12C its first public outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. In fact you definitely know that if you read here regularly. But it does no harm to remind you, especially as the Festival of Speed kicks off on Friday.
Honda Motor Co. said Monday that prices on the redesigned 2013 Accord sedan will increase, on average, by less than $300, even with the addition of thousands of dollars worth of standard features and technology. Honda has overhauled its top-selling model for 2013 with new, more fuel-efficient engines, a continuously variable transmission, additional standard equipment and other available technology, such as lane departure warning and blind spot detection.
